This video is about the connection schemes of the electrical distribution system. The distribution system mainly consists of feeders and distributors. A feeder is a conductor which connects the substation to the area where the power is to be distributed. Generally, no tapping is taken from the feeder so that the current in it remains the same throughout. A distributor is a conductor from which tappings are taken for supply to consumers. So, basically, the distribution system is the connection of these substations, feeders, and distributors. In general, there are 3 main connection systems. The radial system, ring-main system, and interconnected system. • Chapters: • 00:00 Intro • 00:08 Electrical distribution system • 00:53 Radial system • 02:22 Ring-Main system • 03:21 Interconnected system
