➡️ The series continues... Discover our video portrait series, dedicated to those who represent the soul of our Cru. • Rasteau is, of course, its vines and wines, but above all its passionate and generous men and women... • 🍇 Domaine Rabasse Charavin • 🍷 In 1880, Edmond's father François Rabasse bought from General Victor Colonieu the cottage where he and his family lived, as well as the 3 hectares of vineyards and olive groves that surrounded it and which he looked after. • Edmond Rabasse, who was also a hatter, continued to cultivate them, vinified the harvest and marketed up to 500 bottles of wine a year!2 • In 1925, his son Marcel Rabasse, who had started out as an electrician, took over the estate, adding a further 5 ha and developing bottled sales. • In 1950, his daughter Jeannine married Abel Charavin, originally from Rasteau, where he also owned some vines. The surface area was also increased through acquisitions, to around 20 ha. • The tone was set, sales in bottles developed significantly and thanks to them, the wines produced, recognized for their quality, were rewarded in the many competitions where they were presented. • In 1984, Corinne took over the business, sooner than expected since her father died 2 years later. Her husband, Jean-Paul Couturier, added the vineyards of Violès, Travaillan and Plan de Dieu to the estate. • With new acquisitions, the surface area now totals 40 ha. • In 1993, their daughter Laure joined the team. Today, she is in charge of the business. A new cellar has been built, better adapted to the demands of the work. • 👉 Discover the portrait and philosophy of this estate. • ➡️ FOLLOW OUR NEWS ON OUR NETWORKS: • 📸 FACEBOOK ► / aoc.rasteau • 📸 INSTAGRAM ► / vinsderasteau • ✍🏻 OUR WEBSITE ► https://www.vins-rasteau.com
