As well as selling specialist embroidery classes, the London Embroidery School wants to provide information and support to those taking their first steps into embroidery. Therefore we also have a whole host of great free resources for you to absorb and apply to your own projects. First up we have our pro tips section which you can access as a blog or youtube video. These range in content as they are made up of anything we think is useful to know or as a skill check. We have more than 30 existing pro tips including techniques like window mounting embroidery, or how to finish free standing embroidery edges. We also answer questions like ‘what is prick and pounce?’ and ‘why you might choose to paint in a draft’ as well as explaining the purpose of specialist embroidery tools such as the stiletto. • If that is a little too advanced for where you are at presently, why not try one of our free beginners classes to see if embroidery and the London Embroidery School are a good match for you. There are a range of free classes to choose from depending on your area of interest. For the traditionalist we have the Monogramming online class part 1 which introduces you to embroidered lettering. If you’re looking to complete a project, try our lace jewellery classes which includes lots of beginner techniques whilst making yourself or someone special a beautiful piece of jewellery. Or if you’d prefer something a little more tactile there is the Valentino rose class where you will learn to make a couture style flower using fabric manipulation techniques which can be adapted to your choice of available fabric. All of these can be found in the online classes section of our website. • Finally we have our blog where we provide inspiration for our embroidery community. Sometimes this is in the form of our student of the month, where we feature a member of our wonderful community and the LES piece they achieved along with other creative pursuits. Or you might prefer one of our exhibition visit reviews, where we go to the most interesting exhibitions, displays and events we can get our hands on as people who are interested in embroidery so you can decide if it would be of interest for you to see too. • As you can see there are lots of ways for you to get involved with the London Embroidery School community from home as we endeavour to get you a little further along in your crafting journey. Find links to all the resources mentioned in the description below. And we would really appreciate it if you would do all the usual things of liking, subscribing and sharing this video with anyone you think we might also be able to help make something beautiful. • • • Useful Links: • Pro Tips Playlist:    • Pro Tips (Embroidery and Sewing)   • London Embroidery School Blog: https://londonembroideryschool.com/blog/ • • Music Credits: • Music by Zachary Friederich - You Are Never Alone [Instrumental] - https://thmatc.co/?l=DAE18FDD
