Amazing record out last week on Elektorni - a new label by Juhani Oivo from Oulu, Finland. Three killer cuts of pacey dystopian electro from Finnish legend Mesak and a stunning remix from Picture aka Central! • The A-side opens with Mutella, a slapping electro track powered by a growling bassline and dripping with gothic emotion. Next up is Ei Damagea, a smooth slice of electrohypnotism calling to you from an otherworldly dimension inhabited by floaty rhythms and quirky synth stabs. Flip the record, and Mesak flexes his versatility with the 155 bpm piece Musantropia, cruising top down and top speed somewhere between electro, IDM and D B. Fresh!
