Musoni Demo of mLite app built on Mifos X Platform

Demonstration of mLite, the application that Musoni has built on top of the Mifos X platform. Demo recorded during the Mifos bi-weekly user meetup on 6/27/2013. • Musoni BV launched the world's first cashless microfinance institution, Musoni Kenya, in 2009. Seeking to replicate this success and scale their best-practice microfinance operational model to MFIs worldwide, Musoni BV worked with developers from the Community for Open Source Microfinance to build this application, mLite on top of the open source Mifos X platform. mLite will soon be available to MFIs in East Africa. • Mifos X is the next generation of the Mifos software, re-designed to be a true platform for technology-enabled financial inclusion. Mifos X builds off of everything we learned as the industry's first web-based and open source software and is now the first open source platform for financial inclusion with a complete API. • The back-end has the client management, financial product, portfolio tracking, and reporting services to provide a full range of financial inclusion. These back-end services are exposed through a RESTful API allowing others to rapidly build new applications to serve the poor.
