These days, many become quick fans of wine and start gathering as much as they can; nonetheless, some people build enormous collections that exceed their use. • The greatest wine collection in the world is located in Milestii Mici, a small town in the Republic of Moldova. It's a real, almost 250-kilometer-long underground wine metropolis. The underground complex is a labyrinth, with streets bearing the names of several wine varietals, like Cabernet and Sauvignon. • The cellar staff uses bicycles to travel around, so you'll need a car or bike to get from one portion of the vineyard to another. To store, preserve, and age premium wines, the Mileștii Mici State Enterprise Quality Wines Industrial Complex was founded in 1969. • Chişinău's historic subterranean tunnels extend to the edge of the city. The limestone in the galleries is kept at a consistent temperature of 54–57 °F and humidity of 85–95 percent all year round. • Some wines are cellared for decades before being sold. Although there are 120 kilometres of cellars, only 34 of them are now in use. • • In August 2005, Mileștii Mici—owner of the greatest wine collection in the world—was admitted into the Guinness Book of World Records. The structure can hold almost two million bottles in total. Of the wines in storage, red wines make up over 70%, white wines 20%, and dessert wines roughly 10%.
