3M offers their series of polyimide film protection tapes which are engineered to provide reliable performance under high temperatures and other harsh environmental conditions. These tapes can be used for temporary or permanent holding, and are well suited for a variety of applications including solder masking, dielectric insulation, and gold finger protection. The polyimide film in these tapes is dimensionally stable at high temperatures and will not soften at elevated temperatures, meaning the tapes allow for a clean release without leaving a sticky residue behind.
