The osmotic challenges of both freshwater and saltwater fish is provided. Each has unique challenges it must meet in order for it to properly maintain homeostasis. Review each and see how each is adapted to best fit its environment. Some species are osmoconformers meaning they simply adjust to their surrounding salinity levels, how ever keep in mind that there are limits to the extremes of conditions each organism can tolerate. • In addition to this regulators and conformers of internal salinity is graphically represented. In order to reduce the potential stress on new fish make sure there is no temperature or salinity shock to them. • • Link to Lecture Slides: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1seD... • *Due to the description character limit the full work cited for Osmoregulation in Fish can be viewed at... https://drive.google.com/open?id=13au...
