https://www.FastGrowingTrees.com/coll... • How and When to Plant Privacy Trees • Though specific directions vary depending on the Privacy Trees you purchase, knowing your growing zone is an important first step. After you’ve determined your zone, keep sunlight and watering needs in mind. Usually, Privacy Trees like full sun (6 to 8 hours of sunlight per day) and well-drained soil. Other than that, fertilizing is unnecessary, and pruning isn't required unless you want to shape your tree. • We generally recommend planting Privacy Trees in early spring or fall, before or after the threat of frost. As long as the ground is not frozen and temperature extremes are at bay, your trees should be fine. • From there, planting is simple. Select an area with well-drained soil, dig a hole large enough to accommodate the tree’s root ball (along with a bit of extra width for growing space), place your tree and backfill the hole. Also, ensure that you don't plant too close to sidewalks, power lines or structures, taking the mature height of your trees into consideration. • After you've planted your Privacy Trees, water to settle the soil and mulch to conserve moisture in the area. • SUBSCRIBE for More - https://www.youtube.com/c/fastgrowing... • 0:00 Emerald Green Arborvitae • 0:23 Thuja Green Giant • 0:39 Leyland Cypress • 0:54 Colorado Blue Spruce • 1:04 Cryptomeria Radicans • Hi, my name is Meredith and I'm surrounded by some of our favorite privacy trees at the moment. All of these, of course, will provide great privacy but also provide some wind barrier or maybe if you need a sound buffer for your property, but there are some differences between them. • So this one is our Emerald Green Arborvitae. it grows more of a columnar shape. So if you have a space that's very narrow but you need a lot of coverage this is a great option, as you can see, it's quite full. • But, of course, we have our popular Thuja Green Giant. This one grows into the more pyramid shape and is a very popular choice - fast growing and deer resistant. • If you don't want the bright green color we also have a fantastic option in the Leyland Cypress. Very similar growth pattern but this one is drought tolerant so it will have the darker color and great for warmer climates. • And then if you want to mix something up in the landscape this is also our Colorado Blue Spruce has that wonderful blue silvery color to it. • And then this is our Cryptomeria (Radicans) back here. This one has a different texture if you're looking for something a bit different than the arborvitaes. • So we have plenty of options on our website FastGrowingTrees.com so if you need some help comparing which one would be best for your property just give us a call and we have plant experts ready to help you. • #PrivacyTrees #BarrierTrees #FastGrowingTrees.com
