Honda CB750K Wiring Harness Clean Up - Bike Wiring Loom Repair | Part 2 • In this video, I start to attend to the wiring on my CB750 K restoration project. It is a “bitsa” in that the frame and engine were not an original pairing. The battery box and associated parts, regulator, rectifier, solenoid etc were all missing as well as the loom. Also, the switchgear needed attention. • If I was to do this job again, instead of insulated electricians tape I would use the proper fabric Tesa tape, this stuff: https://ebay.us/q6UFoy • It's a lot better to be honest. • As it is a “bitsa” I am not too worried about originality so I have a wider availability of parts. I bought a second-hand loom, battery box and associated parts from a breaker. It appears to be from a later F model. Luckily Honda kept to pretty much the same wiring colours and compatible parts through all of the K and F models so it should all be usable. • Although dirty the wiring seems to be in good order, so I sort out corrosion on the connectors then give it a good wash in the sink! :) I also clean the electrical components and get a new right-hand switch. • Whenever I am playing around with one of my projects, I always try to wear good overalls like these http://ebay.us/2LOCDG and gloves http://ebay.us/gcA4XD • For more helpful how-to guides and restoration project logs, visit our blog: https://www.spannerrash.com/ • As an Amazon Associate, Ebay Partner and Awin Affiliate, we earn a small commission from qualifying purchases.
