The REAL Reason Epic Vaulted The Pump Shotgun Fortnite Battle Royale

In this video, I discuss why the real reason as to why Epic decided to vault the pump shotgun. Unless you live under a rock, you probably know the pump shotgun was vaulted and replaced by the combat shotgun. According to Epic, they vaulted the pump because they want to make the game more fresh for the new season. Its main reasoning was that the pump shotgun accounted for 26% of all eliminations in Fortnite. While this is extremely high, the question arises of whether this is because the pump shotgun is too strong or because of the way Fortnite fights play out. I personally believe Epic vaulted the pump in order to promote the current spray and pray meta with the drum gun. The drum gun is ridiculously overpowered and without the pump shotgun in the game, it has absolutely no counter. Epic doesn't want build fights and skillful shotgun play, they want little Timmy to be able to kill good players with the drum gun. The other theory for why Epic vaulted the pump is because it is near the summer when a majority of younger Fortnite players don't have school. By vaulting the pump shotgun and unvaulting the drum gun, Epic is catering towards casual players and non-skill based gameplay. These are my theories but I would love to know what you guys think down below.
