Primitive Sewing Kit to Fix Shorts

This primitive sewing kit (also known as Apache sewing kit ) is easily made from several species of yucca that grow in southern California. In this demonstration I use Hesperoyucca whipplei (chaparral yucca) to make a needle and thread that I use to sew together a major tear in my shorts.
