In this brief video, I have discussed the Ophthalmic nerve which is a branch of the 5th Cranial Nerve, the Trigeminal nerve. A topic of Neuroanatomy. • So this is the part II on the trigeminal nerve series. • The opthalmic nerve is first and the smallest branch of the trigmeinal nerve. • It is a pure sensory nerve. • It passes through to the cavernous sinus where and while inside, just before escaping the cranium gives off three branches. • These branches escape the cranium and provide sensory innervation to the structures on the upper third of the face like the the skin and mucus membranes of the upper third of face, parts of the orbit, sinuses etc. • In the next part, I will be discussing the maxillary division, and also the mandibular division of the trigeminal nerve. • And also the clinical importance of the nerve • Part one on the introduction of the Trigeminal nerve :    • Trigeminal Nerve | 5th Cranial Nerve ...   • Follow me on Instagram:   / studywithth.  . • Video on Muscles of Mastication : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u_y2f... • Video on Tooth Numbering System : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RSkM0... • 🦷 Thank you for watching 🦷 • Take Care.
